Center for Industrial and Scientific Consulting
The Center for Industrial and Scientific Consulting (CISC) was established at the University of Tartous as a leading national platform aimed at fostering innovation and bridging the gap between scientific research and the labor market.
The center seeks to transform theoretical ideas into practical applications by adopting the latest technologies and building strategic partnerships with both the public and private sectors.
The center operates according to a clear vision aimed at achieving technological and industrial transformation in Syria, with a focus on developing young talent and equipping them with the technical skills necessary to lead the development process. Furthermore, the center is committed to international quality standards and implements integrated management systems that encompass quality, environment, occupational health and safety, and information security.

The Center for Industrial and Scientific Consulting (CISC) at the Faculty of Science, University of Tartous, serves as a vital bridge connecting the university with society. This is achieved by optimizing the investment in the knowledge economy and actively contributing to sustainable economic and social development.
The center works on evolving the applied concept of higher education through a specialized team that professionally manages its policies to achieve strategic goals and future visions.
To fulfill this mission, the center relies on an extensive network of researchers, academics, postgraduates, and undergraduate students from various universities, research institutions, and scientific and economic bodies. Operational Tasks
- Preparing and equipping the mechanism, infrastructure, and knowledge-based human resources to launch the transformation process from theoretical ideas to practical applications and tangible outcomes.
- Establishing a mechanism to link various scientific disciplines with economic activities, in line with achieving the center's goals and vision, and working toward their optimal implementation.
- Collaborating with national institutions, international organizations, and relevant agencies and centers to provide the necessary services for growing and developing local production, boosting exports, and participating in the reconstruction process.
- Preparing scientific studies for integrated industrial facility projects to develop local production and boost exports, as well as participating in the planning of factories and industrial zones.
- Qualifying and training workers in the fields of local production development, marketing, and exporting, by establishing a policy for specialized training courses in these areas.
- Supporting outstanding student projects to transform them into final products that serve the public interest and boost students' confidence in their ideas.
- Adopting any mechanism the Council deems appropriate to achieve its goals, in line with applicable laws and regulations, and in cooperation with all entities that support the center's workflow.
- Designing, manufacturing, and developing equipment and production lines.
- Achieving the optimal utilization of modern technologies.
- Providing training, consultations, troubleshooting, and diagnosing production issues for various economic sectors, and supplying them with appropriate solutions.
