The board of directors holds its first meeting to establish operational and development foundations.

The first Board of Directors meeting was held at the headquarters of the Manufacturing and Scientific Consultancy Center. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Adib Barhoum, President of Tartous University, and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ghanem, Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs (Chairman of the Board), in the presence of board members, a group of invited scientific and legal experts, and the center’s administrative staff.

The meeting addressed a set of points aimed at establishing the operational conditions to launch operations. Discussions focused on the legal frameworks for contracts to be signed with research personnel participating in scientific projects, as well as the feasibility of launching specialized training courses at the center. These courses target wide demographics based on advanced research foundations, with the meeting also determining their tuition fees. Furthermore, Dr. Saoud Kadeh, Director of the Center, outlined the key development projects that the center intends to initiate. The attendees discussed the project concepts and related topics, sharing feedback and perspectives to reach a unified vision.

Consequently, the center’s management will prepare the technical and detailed files (the executive plan) for the proposed projects in the coming period, alongside their expected economic and developmental outlook.
